We are pleased to announce that we have recently been listed #02 in the 10 Best Hotels in Stillwater, Minnesota by

2. Aurora Staples Inn

Address:
303 4th St N, Stillwater, MN 55082

A short stroll away from the downtown area will take you to the charming Aurora Staples Inn, where you’ll find period decor that captures the essence of the Victorian era. Step inside, and you’ll instantly be transported to the late 1800s.

This Stillwater hotel has a bed-and-breakfast feel — but sadly, breakfast is no longer provided. If anything, however, the alternative is even more enticing: a gift card or voucher that encourages you to check out top breakfast establishments in town.

The inn’s spacious rooms include lavish features such as fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. Many also have comfy king-size beds, so you can expect a restful night’s sleep.

Ornate furniture and artwork are a sight to behold, but the views are even more impressive. Select rooms include TVs, although you’ll enjoy your experience a lot more if you commit to unplugging and replacing your favorite shows with a good book.

Breakfast and Our Health & Safety Protocols

Due to COVID-19 outcomes, supplies and rising costs, Aurora Staples Inn has made the decision to move from a Bed & Breakfast to more of an AirBnB model. We are no longer are serving breakfast or wine/beer trays in our room packages. Instead we will be offering a gift certificate to one of the fabulous dining establishments in Stillwater for you to enjoy when you check in.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the following restaurants with your reservation:

Monday-Tuesday: Guests will receive a gift card to Oasis Cafe or Mon Petit Cheri (a $30 value)
Wednesday-Sunday: Guests will receive a breakfast voucher for the Historic Lowell Inn (a $30 value)

Safety continues to be our first priority.  We aim to protect our employees and guests, so we ask if you have an existing reservation and you are feeling sick or have symptoms of COVID19, please reschedule or cancel.  We continue to have high standards of service and health protocols.  We have increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols, etc.  Because of this, we cannot allow an early check-in. Please respect our check-in hours.

If anyone is ill or becomes ill at the Inn, we will ask you to leave immediately for the health and safety of our guests and staff.

We now offer Contactless Check-in and Contactless Check-outs – we’ll contact you within a few days before your reservation with an entry passcode number and instructions will be in their rooms. This is a new service we started offering since the COVID-19 Pandemic and it’s been a hit with our guests.

Because we are a small Inn in a small town, with a handful of rooms, we must limit the number of guests per room to two.  Wedding parties and receptions are currently on hold.

We hope to see you soon!  Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

– Rachelle, Innkeeper/Owner
