Breakfast

Challenge your taste-buds with a variety of flavors at our Inn

At Aurora Staples Inn Bed and Breakfast we celebrate the art of food and dining. Your morning begins with our special Tanzianian Peaberry coffee delivered on a tray to your room. This special brew is “a full bodied, medium roast with notes of citrus and Concord grapes coupled with a chocolatey finish” and the proceeds from the coffee help fund schools and jobs in Tanzania.

“Coffee beans are Sun-ray beams.”

Then, your choice… Our full three-course breakfast is served in our dining room at 9AM or, if you prefer, your breakfast or coffee can be delivered to your room. Only the finest ingredients are used for my breakfasts because I shop for fresh ingredients each day.

We accommodate dietary restrictions such as Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarians, food allergies, lactose intolerance and other dietary needs. Please give us a 24 hour notice for special requests.

Thank you Rachelle for making us feel like family. After 2 day business meeting, to come home to the Carriage House and soak in the 2 person jacuzzi with fireplace roaring was what we needed. Comfortable beds, quiet and clean. Breakfast pizza, fruit & cream and blueberry scone were delicious and filling. I may not need to eat lunch. See you again soon. Brenda & Ford

My wife and I took a couple of days to get away and celebrate our second anniversary. We were delighted that we were able to stay in the Carriage House! We have to admit because of being there on a Monday and Tuesday in the winter, we were spoiled being the only guests at the Aurora Staples Inn! However, we got the impression that we would have been spoiled if the place had been full.
The owner/manager, Rachelle, exuded the kind of graceful personality that would make anyone feel like they were the most important guests there.
The breakfasts served were opulent and delicious! The bed was extremely comfortable, the Carriage House was cozy and the atmosphere was charming. We loved the jacuzzi and fireplace! Rachel and her staff made us feel very at home yet we had all the privacy we desired.
We highly recommend Aurora Staples Inn; we cannot imagine anyone being disappointed!

Lovely Victorian charm. Quiet. Super clean. Immaculate. The only sound on the porch was the wind rustling the American flag and we spent a lot of time reading on the porch or walking to town to shop or dine. Rachelle is a lovely person and skilled inn-keeper. Breakfast was delightful as was the conversation around the table. One couple from Sweden, one from NYC, one from Minneapolis and one from N' Michigan. We stayed in the St. Croix Suite and could have moved in for a year. A return trip. Soon.

Rachelle made us so comfortable in this sweet B&B. She brought afternoon refreshments to the room, which was large and had a spa tub. The breakfast was inventive and delucious. Would certainly recommend staying there!

  •   My husband and I stayed one night in the carriage house and wish we would have stayed another night. We were looking for a quiet, romantic getaway to celebrate our anniversary and to not be disturbed. The carriage house was so private, it was exactly what we were looking for. Loved that it had a covered parking space right next to the door. The room was clean, extremely spacious with separate bathroom and lots of great books, some games and even enjoyed the classical music selection and CD player, something we typically wouldn’t have used. Lots of cute small extras in the room, wine and snacks brought to the room when we arrived, sittinging room with blanket and books. Great bonus was the hidden TV and WiFi. The jetted tub is what made us choose this room with the 3 sides fireplace and it did not disappoint! But probably the best part of the stay was the large, extremely comfortable bed. We have 3 small children so to get a quiet, restful nights sleep is priceless. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were soft and smooth. Not sure if it was a weighted blanket or what but it truly was just the most comfortable bed. I’m not a huge breakfast food person but this breakfast was one I more then enjoyed! The butterscotch waffles were amazing and the coffee was unique and delicious. Everything on the tray was fresh and tasty. We will be back for sure!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary this year by staying in the Carriage House at The Aurora Staples Inn. We select a different B&B each year and I have to say this is our favorite so far (14 years)! The Carriage House is separate from the main house with it's own covered parking. Beautiful room, gas fireplace, reading area and a huge hot tub made a cold rainy weekend bearable! The proprietor (Rachelle) was very accommodating and friendly. Main house is gorgeous and we may be back next year to try one of the main residence rooms. Highly recommended! More
