Rachelle Nevaeh Rose

Owner and Innkeeper

Rachelle grew up in St. Croix Valley area and lived in Stillwater, MN for many years.  She worked at three bed and breakfasts in Stillwater when she was a teenager. Rachelle always dreamed of having a Bed and Breakfast one day.

When she lived on Mulberry Street, she’d often walk by Aurora Staples Inn and admire the large Queen Victorian home. She always dreamed of living there and operating her own B & B. She moved to Florida for two years, Wisconsin for two years and Indiana for nine years, always feeling misplaced because she desired to move back to Stillwater. It is the only place she felt at home. Stillwater has a lot to offer, and it reminds her of a Hallmark movie town. It’s picturesque, romantic, historical, has several restaurants and shops, plenty of things to do and the residents look out for their neighbors.

On a whim, Rachelle contacted the owners Cathy & Jerry and asked if they would sell Aurora Staples Inn to her. They said, “Yes!”  Rachelle prayed about it and had the exact amount of money for a down payment for a loan.  In 2017 she purchased the Aurora Staples Inn.

Three years later she met her husband, Eddie, and they married in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Rachelle enjoys reading and writing poetry in her spare time. She wrote her first poetry book, A Rose in a Teacup and Other Poems, in 2022.  Eddie moved from Philly (Philadelphia), A Foodie town, to Stilly (Stillwater) and his love language is food! Eddie enjoys following foodies on social media, trying new restaurants, and going on guided food tours. He is also a gospel singer! If you run into him at the Inn, he might sing you a snippet from a gospel song

Rachelle & Eddie are very hospitable; they enjoy hosting parties, guests, and meeting new people from all over the world! They are truly blessed to own a piece of Stillwater’s history!
