We are so glad we decided to stay here! The location is perfect. We walked to dinner and had drinks on our way home. There were delicious cookies and coffee... read more and soda just outside our room. And the owner gave us a free upgrade to the St. Croix Street room upon arrival - so nice with a see through fireplace! It was also very easy to make reservations for breakfast. It has been a perfect stay for our anniversary. We would recommend it to any of our friends and family and hope to come again.

This inn was quite nice. While many parts of it are no longer being used (e.g., no breakfast at this inn - a voucher for Lowell Inn), the room... read more itself was very nice. It was large with a comfortable bed, fireplace, and a very nice shower/tub. There was a nice coffee machine in the hallway and the owner was super friendly and supportive. The inn is a bit off the Main Street, but a super short walk to it. All-in-all we loved this B&B!

This is the second time I've stayed here, the first in the carriage house. We loved it. It was large and beautiful, quiet and inviting. The hosts were perfect --... read more welcoming and attentive, bringing a tray of wine/juice/beer and appetizers upon our arrival. Coffee was brought to our room at 8 a.m. and a truly generous and delicious breakfast at 9:00. I would highly recommend staying here. Not much different cost than a hotel, and so much better in every way.

The Aurora Staples Inn is a very lovely B&B. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff catered to our tastes and dietary needs. The room was filled with... read more lots of "stuff", not my taste but done tastefully. Hershey kisses were plentiful and there was a small refrigerator with soda and cold water available in the hallway.
There were a few areas I felt that they Inn fell down. First of all, I believe due to the Covid pandemic they did not clean the room each day. It would have been nice if they would have told us. Secondly, I asked if ice was available. I was told that i would have to knock on the owner's down to get a glass of ice. I would rather not have to disturb them (though they might not have considered this a bother), I would have rather had ice available in a common area. More

Friends had recommended a visit to Stillwater in early April to launch our extended road trip west, so being our first visit, we opted for this bed and... read more breakfast. We are happy we chose Aurora Staples Inn! It's located in a lovely residential area yet conveniently close to the main shopping. Rachelle is a sweetheart of a host and we loved the added attention to food service details such as wine, cheese and fruit displayed charmingly on a tray, and her breakfast the next morning was to-die-for delicious!

A beautiful 19th century home of architectural significance. The carriage house is renovated, but in keeping with the style of the main house. We stayed in the carriage house, which... read more boasts an enormous main room, with a king-sized bed, large hot-tub, and gas fireplace. Rachelle and Eddie are wonderful hosts. Coffee and breakfast brought right to the room!

This was our second stay at the Aurura Staples Inn. We went to Stillwater to take in the Christmas lights. This trip we stayed in the Carriage House partly because... read more of covid concern's. The Carriage House is a completely private, detached suite. Our stay was just an overnighter, but it was an outstanding stay. As before, we were greeted apon checking in with glass of wine before being shown our room. The room is spacious, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The jacuzzi, a treat after walking around town. The room is complete with a mini fridge and coffee pot, not that the coffee pot will be needed as Rachelle brings a freash pot of coffee in the morning before breakfast. Rachelle cooks the most outstanding breakfast we have ever had at a B&B! Almost too much to finish! The walk to Main Street is short and easy, even for my wife who has a bad back. I'm positive we will be staying there again next time we go to Stillwater. More

I loved my stay at the Aurora Staples Inn.
Room: Stayed in The Giverny, which has a king-sized bed and a jacuzzi but no shower (there is a detachable... read more head for rinsing). The bed was incredibly comfortable (loved the sheets) and even my travel companion for the trip, a notoriously poor sleeper, slept well. There is a little room with a sink and toilet that is well-stocked. There was a choice of scents for the tub and we appreciated the extra touch.
House: We didn't use the common areas because of COVID. Guests have to remove shoes at the front door, as a heads up.
Location: Hilly, but walkable. There are a few restaurants a short walk away.
Breakfast: Outstanding. Breakfast was delivered to the room to account for COVID, which we appreciated. Accommodations were made for lactose-intolerance (I think we were given the vegan breakfast). There was quite the magnificent spread, and everything, especially the pumpkin custard (?) was delicious. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied.
Would definitely recommend Aurora Staples Inn to travelers in Stillwater.
